FY 2024 Pilot Program Grant Applications are now closed.

Applications for the Chatham Agricultural Preservation & Development (CAPD) Trust Fund are now closed for FY 2024. The application period for FY 2025 will open later this year. More details coming soon.

For the initial funding round, applications will be accepted for the following categories:

  • Perpetual agricultural working-lands easements.
  • Transaction costs related to or necessary to facilitate a working-lands easement.
  • Organizational and programming support that promotes the preservation and development of working lands within Chatham County.

About The Chatham Agricultural Preservation & Development Trust Fund

On October 17, 2022, the Chatham County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to establish the first-ever county-based trust fund aimed at supporting agricultural preservation and development within Chatham County.
