The Chatham County Solid Waste & Recycling Division DOES NOT provide residential curbside or commercial pick-up of trash and recyclables.

The following companies have been licensed to haul trash and recyclables in Chatham County and may be able to assist you. The companies provide varying services, so please see the key below to determine which service you need.

Private haulers must be licensed through our office before offering services in Chatham County. To become licensed, download and complete the hauler application form.

Transfer Stations and Landfill

There is no operating landfill or transfer station in Chatham County. At transfer stations and landfills there will be a charge based on weight. Contact them directly for details on what they can and cannot accept.

All of the transfer stations are only open Monday through Friday. Contact them directly for hours of operation.

The closest landfill the Great Oak Landfill in Randleman- 3597 Old Cedar Falls Road. Visit their website for more details and contact them directly with any questions.
