Chatham Conservation Partnership Meetings are held quarterly and are open to anyone that has an interest in Chatham County's natural resources.  For more information, please visit the Chatham Conservation Partnership website.

The data has been converted into Geographical Information System (GIS) layers that can be viewed for free on any computer that can access the internet.  To view these layers for Chatham County, please visit the Chatham County Geographical Information System website. Video instructions for how to use the layers can be found on our Chatham County Geographical Information System YouTube page.

Farmland Preservation Plan

On March 1, 2010, the Chatham County Board of Commissioners adopted a new Farmland Preservation Plan that includes several components to help retain farmland and boost the county’s agricultural economy. The plan is voluntary and does not require farmers or other residents to participate.

The plan contains two sections: Agricultural Land Use and Agricultural Economic Development.

For more information or to download a copy of the plan, view our online Farmland Preservation Plan.

Natural Resources Conservation Service
