There are three Energy Assistance Programs offered for low-income residents through the Department of Social Services. Click on the program listed below for more information about each of these programs: 

 

 

Current Fund Availability     

Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is a seasonal program and applications are accepted from December through March.   Applications are NOT taken from April through November.

Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) is currently accepting applications.   CIP is a year-round program and applications can be submitted at any time.   Application approvals are based on fund availability.

Share the Light and NC Settle Rate programs are currently accepting applications and approvals are based on fund availability.
