Home MenuQuitSmart Program for Quitting Tobacco/Nicotine
It’s challenging to quit using tobacco, and even more challenging to stay tobacco-free. Only about 20% of participants in most stop-smoking programs are smoke-free after six months. But with the QuitSmart program, success rates are much higher. In a study at five U.S. Air Force bases, QuitSmart proved more effective than other methods: 66% of QuitSmart participants were still smoke-free six months after the quit date, compared to 16–30% of those in four other cessation programs (Shipley et al., Federal Practioner). With QuitSmart, tobacco users are assured of high quality professional help, based on solid research findings.
QuitSmart is a FREE 4-week program with one class per week. Classes are one and a half hours long. The sessions may be offered virtually, by phone, or in-person depending on availability.
Program participants will receive the following at no-cost:
- Two weeks of nicotine replacement patches
- QuitSmart program materials
- Personalized pre-quit and 12-week quit plans
- Support from a Tobacco Treatment Specialist
