Athletics 

FALL RUNNING CLUB 
The Fall Running Club will introduce running as a sport and way of exercising to kids with or without running experience. Runners will get together twice a week to run at Southwest District Park. All levels and experience are welcome, the running coach speaks Spanish, and this program is capped at 25 runners.

GIRLS ON THE RUN 
Twice per week for 10 weeks, girls will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels and learn important life skills. Trained and caring coaches lead 3rd - 5th-grade girls through interactive lessons and movement activities. The season ends with a celebratory 5K event. Fees: $205, but with income-based financial assistance, the cost can be as low as $25.

TRIANGLE ULTIMATE YOUTH LEARN TO PLAY
This is a beginner Ultimate Frisbee program that teaches the fundamentals of Ultimate to 7–12 year-olds, no experience needed! Each week features skill lessons, games, and scrimmages led by top-notch coaches. Since Ultimate is self-refereed, kids will learn how to handle their own calls on the field with guidance from coaches.

TRIANGLE ULTIMATE YOUTH REC LEAGUE
Triangle Ultimate is excited to offer Youth Rec League this season with the support of USA Ultimate! Youth Rec League will provide an opportunity for Youth ages 10-18 to play and enjoy Ultimate in a safe environment. Each week features skill lessons, games, and scrimmages led by top-notch coaches. Since Ultimate is self-refereed, kids will learn how to handle their own calls on the field with guidance from coaches. YOUTH BASKETBALL
Recreational basketball league that aims to encourage age-appropriate skill development, teamwork, and fun through structured practices and competitive games.

Time: One Practice per weekday, Games on Saturdays. Times vary.

DANCE CLASSES: PRE-BALLET/BALLET 1
This class will have an emphasis on body placement, proper technique, and ballet terminology at age appropriate levels. This class will benefit dancers continuing their dance training as well as those who wish to begin.

This program is designed to cultivate teamwork, enhance design proficiency, and introduce kids to fresh perspectives surrounding Minecraft! We use fun and interactive lessons in Minecraft to enable a space for students to visualize and investigate different situations where they can create solutions that help them develop critical and spatial thinking.

AIR DRY CLAY MONSTERS 
Back by popular demand! Create a pinch pot and magically transform it into a silly monster. We will draw our ideas and then construct monsters with air dry clay. The second class let's have fun painting your silly monster! Supplies provided. Two class sessions.

TEEN MOSAICS 
Mosaic art has reflected the charm of many cultures. Learn about Antoni Gaudi, a mosaic Spanish artist, who transformed Park Guell into a mosaic heaven. We will create a gorgeous mosaic using broken crockery. Three class sessions.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS 
Celebrate Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, a joyful and vibrant festival that is a tradition in Mexico and throughout Latin America. This November holiday is a joyful celebration and honors the lives of departed family and friends with picnics, music, parades and more. Festive sugar skulls are a symbol of this holiday. Join us to create a large sugar skull painting, a design with color, fun lines, shapes and patterns. Supplies provided.

ART WITH ALPACAS AT CAROLINA SUNSHINE ALPACA FARM! 
Did you know that Alpacas originally came from South America, in Peru, Bolivia and Chile? Learn about these beautiful creatures while making art and painting up close! BIGFOOT ADVENTURES/MIXED MEDIA 
This class will meet at Northwest District Park in the activity building! Listen to a short story about BIGFOOT! Create your own version of Bigfoot using paint, markers, and more! Let us finish this class by taking a walk on our beautiful trail. Binoculars available for possible sightings! Supplies provided. One class session.
