MOVIES IN THE PARK
Join Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources on the first Friday night of the month August-November, for a free outdoor movie night! We will be showing family friendly movies that will start at sunset. Bring your chairs, blankets, movie snacks, and friends, and enjoy a movie under the stars!

CHATHAM COUNTY CHALLENGE
The Chatham County Challenge is a virtual walk, run, or bike challenge that will take place 10/1/24-10/31/24. Bikers are challenged to complete a 100k (62 miles) and runners/walkers are challenged to complete a 50k (31 miles). Participants will be asked to track their miles one of two ways: through a mobile app called Map My Fitness or by a paper log. Individuals must sign up through the app no later than 9/30/24. Every individual who completes the challenge will receive a free T-shirt!

TRUNK OR TREAT FALL FESTIVAL
Join Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources for an afternoon full of Halloween activities at Southwest District Park. This free outdoor event will include Pumpkin Carving/Pumpkin Painting, Halloween Themed Games, Halloween Themed Craft, a Hay hunt, a Photo Booth, a Magician, and Trunk or Treat starting at 4:00 p.m.

HOLIDAY IN THE PARK
Join Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources for this FREE, indoor/outdoor event including pictures with Santa, a hayride, holiday themed games, crafts, candy canes, warm drinks, carolers, letters to Santa, and the tree lighting at 5:15 p.m. to kick off the event! Participants will learn the basics of archery safety, equipment, and form from a USA Archery certified coach. Personal bows may be used with instructor permission. No experience needed. All supplies provided. First Class is Required.

SCARECROW ADVENTURES/ALL AGES
Join us for a hands-on adventure! We will build our own scarecrows using colorful fabrics, straw, and a touch of imagination. Get ready to bring your scarecrow to life with quirky personalities and funny faces, perfect for guarding your garden! Please bring colorful old clothing to dress your scarecrow! MANDALA ART: WALK & TALK, EXPLORING PATTERNS IN NATURE
Art and the Environment! Join Chatham County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers for a walk to collect natural materials and discuss patterns in nature. Participants will learn about the benefits of playing with natural materials and create a Mandala. The process of creating and looking at a Mandala can be used to aid in mindfulness by centering the body and mind while allowing the creative mind to run free. Each participant will have a take home photograph of their artwork.
