*Park users are subject to all federal, state and local laws, rules, policies, and regulations.*
- Please park in designated park parking lots only.
- All animals must be on a leash no longer than six (6) feet in length (except while inside The Park at Briar Chapel’s Dog Park).
- All property owned by Chatham County is tobacco-free, including e-cigarettes and chewing tobacco.
- Consumption of alcohol is prohibited in all park facilities.
- No soliciting unless authority is given by the Parks & Recreation Department or superseding authority.
- Language, behaviors, actions, or excessive noise generation that is deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise detrimental to the operation of the facility, the well-being of other patrons, or is contrary to any federal, state and/or local laws, ordinances, rules, policies, and regulations are prohibited.
- Fires are only permitted in grills for the use of cooking.
- Fishing in parks is catch and release only and is subject to Parks & Recreation Department regulations and NC law. Hunting is prohibited.
- Use of any park amenity for activities outside the scope of its normal role unless authorized by the Parks & Recreation Department or superseding authority is prohibited.
- The Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to close or disallow use of any park facility.
DECOR & EXTRAS
- No decor may be temporarily or permanently attached to any facility at any of the Chatham County Park facilities unless previously authorized by the Parks & Recreation Department.
- Removing, destroying, defacing, enhancing, adding to, tampering with, permanently or semi-permanently marking, or altering any plant, natural article, landscaping, device, structure, or appliance in any way within any Chatham County Park facility is prohibited.
- Weighted/tied down 10x10 pop-up tents are allowed. No other tents, shade structures, or cabanas are permitted at any of the Chatham County Parks unless previously authorized by the Parks & Recreation Department.
- Use of amusements (air supported structures, pony rides, carnival rides, water slides, etc.) are prohibited except as specifically authorized by the Parks & Recreation Department or superseding authority.
- The use of drones or model airplanes, or other motorized recreational aircraft is strictly prohibited.
- No food or drinks are permitted inside the Northwest Park Activity Center.
- No food or drinks are permitted inside the Northwest Park Pool fence. Food and drinks are allowed outside the pool fence.
CLEAN-UP
- All trash must be placed in designated receptacles or removed from the facility.
- Any equipment brought into any park by the renter must be removed at the end of the reservation period.
RESERVATIONS, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS - All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. Please note there is a 3% Processing Fee for all credit and debit card transactions.
- Picnic shelters, fields, the dining hall, activity center, and kitchen cannot be reserved less than 5 days or more than 364 days in advance.
- The pool cannot be reserved less than 14 days or more than 364 days in advance. Maximum of 40 swimmers at a time. Failure to follow pool rules may result in loss of the deposit refund.
- Any reservation cancellations made at least 11 days prior to the event will get a 100% refund of the Rental Fee and Damage/Cleaning Deposit.
- Any reservation cancellations made 10 or less days prior to the event will not receive a refund for the Rental Fee or Damage/Cleaning Deposit unless the facilities are specifically closed, and the cancellation is initiated by the Parks & Recreation Department.
