The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) of the Chatham Community Library announces the third annual Teen Writing Contest. Chatham County teens are invited to submit a work of fiction or non-fiction on any topic.
Contest Rules
- The contest is for teens in grades 6-12 who live or attend school in Chatham County, NC.
- All entries must be original works. Plagiarized or generative AI compositions will not be accepted.
- There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: $50, $25, and $15 gift cards to McIntyre’s Books! Prizes will be awarded to entries that TAB judges as the three best overall submissions.
- There is a 3000-word limit per entry, and 3 entries are allowed per person.
- Only 1 prize per person will be awarded. (So, you can enter 3 times, but you can only win 1 prize.)
- If you are a TAB member and choose to enter, you may not be a judge.
Submissions will be accepted Saturday, Nov 1, 2024, through 11:59 pm on Sunday, Dec 1, 2024.
TAB voters will read submissions and vote via email. Winners will be announced and notified by December 17, 2024.
