EN-ROADS Climate Change Solutions Simulator

En-ROADS is a transparent, freely-available policy simulation model that provides policymakers, educators, businesses, the media, and the public with the ability to explore, for themselves, the likely consequences of energy, economic growth, land use, and other policies and uncertainties, with the goal of improving their understanding. The simulation runs on an ordinary laptop in a fraction of a second, is available online, offers an intuitive interface, has been carefully grounded in the best available science, and has been calibrated against a wide range of existing integrated assessment, climate and energy models.

North Carolina State University Capstone Project

North Carolina State University course ES400, Analysis of Environmental Issues, is a capstone course for students in environmental sciences or related majors (http://catalog.ncsu.edu/undergraduate/coursedescriptions/es/). For 2019, the ES400 course focused on data from Chatham County, NC, to understand environmental issues affecting the County that may be related to climate change. Five study groups were formed: (1) Wetlands Conservation, (2) Community Engagement, (3) Energy Efficiency, (4) Agriculture and Forestry, and (5) Transportation.
