Emergency Operations Center

Chatham County's Emergency Operation Center (EOC) serves as the central location available to the County, its municipalities, and its partner agencies to coordinate disaster response and recovery.  Decision-makers, agency representatives, incident management personnel, and subject matter experts gather here to monitor conditions, establish event priorities and objectives, determine protective actions for the public, support Incident Commanders, and share information.

Emergency Management across North Carolina

Chatham County's EOC and Emergency Management staff are part of a larger network of professionals, equipment, plans, agreements and systems that protect residents across the State of North Carolina.  Through North Carolina's Mutual Aid System and the Emergency Management Assistance Compact personnel and equipment may respond to Chatham, or agencies from Chatham County may deploy across North Carolina and the United States when help is needed elsewhere.
