Committee Composition

The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee consists of up to twelve Chatham residents. Committee members are appointed to three year terms as representative of a county district, municipality, or appointed by the full board.

This committee is intended to represent a variety of experience and expertise related to affordable housing development, preservation, and service provision, as well as individuals who have experienced homelessness, housing instability, or difficulty affording housing.

In accordance with the county’s conflict of interest policy for advisory committees, members and organizations members are associated with cannot benefit from decisions or recommendations made by the Committee.

Staff Liaisons

Chatham County Housing and Community Development Officer Jamie Andrews serves as primary staff liaison for the committee and they can provide more information on committee meetings or ways to get involved.
