PITTSBORO, NC – The Chatham County Board of Commissioners (BOC) will hold its work and regular sessions on Monday, September 21, 2020. The work session will begin at 2:00 p.m., and the regular session will begin at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be at the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center, 1192 US 64 Business West, Pittsboro.
Due to mass gathering restrictions and social distancing guidelines, seating will be limited to 40-50 members of the public. Residents who sign up to speak ahead of time will be given priority seating. Please note, a face covering will be required in order to attend the meeting. Face coverings must be worn while moving throughout the building until each person is seated six feet apart from others. Residents may also view/listen to the meeting remotely via GoTo Webinar and can register online for the September 21st meeting.
Because the September 21st meeting is a regularly scheduled BOC meeting, there will be a public input session at the work session as well as the regular session. Residents may sign up to speak for the public input period or for any of the public hearings by filling out the online form for public input and hearings.
The BOC allows for 30 minutes of public input at both the work and regular sessions. Residents are allowed to speak on any topic (except for items scheduled for public hearing on the same agenda) for up to three minutes each. Residents wishing to speak during a public hearing will also be allowed three minutes each to give their comments. Residents who sign up to speak for public input or a public hearing in person will be heard first, followed by residents on GoTo Webinar, and then residents who submit comments via voicemail.
