Chatham Community Library, in conjunction with heart2heart North Carolina, presents "Sharing Holiday Grief" on Saturday, December 7, from, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm in the Holmes Family Meeting Room. The event is free and open to the public.
The holiday season can be especially difficult for those who are grieving the loss of someone who has died. While there is no roadmap for grief, finding different ways to cope during this time of the year can be part of the healing process.
Death and Cupcakes provides a safe space to ask questions, share your story, be witnessed, sit quietly in present time, and listen to the insights of others on death, dying, loss, grief, and renewal.
Facilitated by director Cathy Brooksie Edwards with live music by musician Amy Durso, heart2heartnc raises awareness about topics surrounding death that often remain taboo. In addition to encouraging open and honest dialogue, there will be short periods of mindfulness meditation, and of course, cupcakes.
This event is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Chatham Community Library. No registration is required.
