Below are upcoming meetings, workshops and other events from the Chatham Soil & Water Conservation District.

District board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the conference room (room 310, west side entrance) of the new Agriculture & Conference Center in Pittsboro, unless otherwise noted below. 1st Annual Chatham Farms Forever Day

Registration is now open for our first annual “Chatham Farms Forever Day,” a day-long farmland preservation workshop on Thursday, December 5, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Chatham Agriculture and Conference Center, 1192 US Hwy 64 W Business, Pittsboro, NC 27312. The workshop is free, but registration is required, and seating is limited. 

Participants can learn about conservation easements, farmland transition and estate planning, conservation management and cost-share opportunities, and more. Free lunch provided for all registrants.
