Families with children and teens are invited to join us for the Kids Voting Chatham kick-off event. Enjoy crafts, activities, videos and more that will familiarize young people with the electoral process in Chatham County, North Carolina, and the United States.
Kids Voting Chatham is a non-partisan effort to help youth under 18 understand and believe in the power they have as engaged citizens and informed voters. Kids Voting Chatham builds civic skills, knowledge, and agency & identity in Chatham's young people well before they turn 18. We nurture each of these elements through: educational tools, family engagement, youth voice, and authentic kid elections.
Partnering with NC Cooperative Extension and 4-H Youth Development, Chatham Community Library will host the kick-off event in the Holmes Family Meeting Room. Free and open to the public, no registration required.
