NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 163-85(d), that the Chatham County Board of Elections will meet on Tuesday, August 13th at 1:00 pm at the Chatham County Board of Elections Office at 984 Thompson St., Suite D, Pittsboro, NC for a closed -session meeting and to conduct a preliminary hearing on a voter challenge.
The board will go in closed session, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(3) to consult with an attorney to preserve attorney client privilege at 1 pm.
At 2 pm, the board will conduct a preliminary hearing on a voter challenge filed with the Board to determine whether the challenge was properly filed and if there is probable cause to believe the person is not properly registered to vote.
The preliminary hearing is open to the public.
