Goldston Public Library will host a series of three informative classes on waste reduction on Thursday afternoons in August in the E.M. Harris Jr. Conference Room from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. These programs are free and open to the public.
Classes in this series include:
- Thursday, August 1: Waste Reduction 101. This class covers the basics of the impacts of waste on a human and environmental level. This class also offers some simple examples of how one can reduce waste within their lifestyles.
- Thursday, August 8: Waste Reduction for the Lazy (but not Apathetic): This class is for those seeking to reduce waste but aren't quite ready to make large lifestyle changes. The class will provide a wide variety of tips for those looking to reduce waste in small ways that matter.
- Thursday, August 15: Waste Reduction 202. This class is for those who feel like they know the basics of waste reduction but are ready to do more! This class will cover some tips for waste reduction that may require more hefty lifestyle changes but the results can have a big impact!
All classes are conducted by Anayancy Estacio, Education Program Coordinator for Chatham County Solid Waste and Recycling.
