No, We Don't Eat Grass! : An Introduction to a Plant-Based Diet

Join us on Saturday, March 16, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Holmes Family Meeting Room as Dan FitzSimmons presents, "No, We Don't Eat Grass!: An Introduction to a Plant-Based Diet".  This program will cover the "What", "Why", and "How" of choosing good food for good health. This program is free and open to the public.

After learning about the multi-level failures of the Standard American Diet (SAD), Dan began studying nutrition with The Cornell Plant Based Nutrition Program as well as Vanderbilt and UCSF courses and is currently certified as a Food for Life educator with the highly regarded Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Additionally, Dan has successfully completed chef training with The Rouxbe Institute, Veecoco, Food Future Institute, and a host of other programs.

Knowing that food connects us all, he is passionately committed to being a facilitator between nutrition science and the public.  By understanding the research, Dan believes we must assume more personal responsibility for our health.  He feels that sharing what he has learned is a joyful obligation!
