Agenda
1. Welcome and roll call
2. Ask for volunteer from Working Group to take minutes
3. Vote on minutes from June 15, 2022 meeting
4. Review of CC Appearance Commission Draft Revised Design Guidelines - Tree Protection section beginning on page 3.
5. Continued discussion of key parts of Tree Protection rules, including:
- Purpose and Goals
- Applicability (new development, re-development, single lots?)
- Tree Canopy coverage %
- Requirements for new tree planting - size, spacing, etc.
- Need for certified county arborist
6. Public Input (to be limited to 3 min. per speaker)
7. Date for next meeting (August 3 or 10?)
8. Adjourn
The Tree Protection Working Group was approved by the Chatham County Board of Commissioners to draft language for tree protection rules for the county. Meetings are open to the public and will be recorded. The Working Group is comprised of these members representing the Planning Board, Environmental Review Advisory Committee, Climate Change Advisory Committee and Grand Trees of Chatham County:
