Active Parenting: Winning Cooperation (Virtual Event)

Teen Health Connection presents a workshop series for parents of teens. Kris Hawkins, Parent Educator at Teen Health Connection, will share information and answer questions!

  • August 23: Active Parenting: Winning Cooperation -When we engage, consciously or unconsciously, in power struggles with our teen, we become an adversary in a “fight” for control and power. Adversaries oppose each other and a “fight” implies there a winner and a loser. We will explore why sharing power with our teens is necessary, how it teaches them the very important lesson of working cooperatively with others, and plays a vital role in developing and maintaining strong, positive parent-teen relationships where everyone wins.
