The Wastewater Study Commission is no longer active. 

On November 15, 2021, the Chatham County Board of Commissioners created the Wastewater Study Commission for Northeast Chatham to study future growth in northeastern Chatham County along the US Highway 15-501 corridor and wastewater treatment systems. This group is no longer active as they presented their final findings to the Board of Commissioners September of 2022.

The Board of Commissioners also appointed 12 residents to serve on the study commission.

The Wastewater Study Commission for Northeast Chatham was facilitated by consultant Freese and Nichols, with Vice President Charles Archer serving as lead facilitator.

 Meetings of the study commission are open to the public to attend.

 

Wastewater Study Commission for Northeast Chatham Meeting

 The Wastewater Study Commission for Northeast Chatham County will hold a meeting on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the Agriculture and Conference Center, 1192 US 64 Business West, Pittsboro. The meeting is open to the public but space is limited. 

The meeting agenda packet also includes minutes from the March 28th meeting.
