In celebration of Chatham 250, Chatham Community Library will co-sponsor a virtual program featuring Orlando Dobbin, Chatham resident and school counselor at Pittsboro Elementary School.
When Dobbin moved to Chatham County a couple years ago, he knew he had landed in a special place, but couldn’t quite place his finger on why. A curiosity developed to get to know the land and stories that make Chatham so special, and he made it a goal to research and visit all 31 towns/unincorporated communities and 5 county parks of Chatham. Orlando's journeys took him all throughout the wonderful rolling hills, farms, and backcountry roads of this special place and allowed him to discover the stories of resilience, community, beauty, and just down right wholesomeness that make Chatham what it is!
Check out his adventures to learn more about what makes Chatham so special by participating in this virtual program!
This virtual event is free and open to the public and will be presented via Zoom. Participants should REGISTER ONLINE to receive the meeting link. Residents may visit the libraries’ website, www.chathamlibraries.org, or contact the Library at (919) 545-8084 or rita.vanduinen@chathamlibraries.org for more information.
