The Chatham County Board of Elections will meet at 5:30 p.m. on December 3, 2020, at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center located at 1192 US Hwy 64 West Business, Pittsboro. The purpose of the meeting is for the Chatham County Board of Elections to preliminarily consider whether an election protest filed by Cheri Beasley, candidate for the Office of Chief Justice, substantially complies with G.S. 163-182.9 and whether it establishes probable cause to believe that a violation of election law or irregularity or misconduct has occurred in accordance with G.S. 163-182.10 (a). The protest materials are available below and at www.chathamnc.org/boe. Due to COVID-19, there are restrictions on the number of people who can attend the meeting in person. For that reason, the public is encouraged to attend virtually at https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tajtalk.com.
